DONAUSCHRAMMELN.AT - Repertoire

“One of the main aims of our group is to perform traditional and more contemporary folk music consisting of both Viennese and local heritage of the Wachau region.
This includes a wide variety of pieces by Joseph Lanner, the Strauß family, Johann and Joseph Schrammel and numerous Viennese songs.”

Apart from that, the repertory of the Donauschrammeln also covers music from Ireland, Scotland, the USA as well as Jewish music and dance music.

Whenever possible we try to play unplugged although we can provide decent amplifying for an audience of approximately 500 people if necessary.

The Donauschrammeln have performed at various events in Austria and abroad including concerts, weddings, presentations, receptions, birthday parties and on the Austrian radio station Ö1.
